Summer Meals

In Texas, over 3 million students receive free meals at school. During the summer when they do not receive these meals, children face a higher risk of malnutrition and hunger. Summer meals work to fill this gap by providing essential healthy meals to children.

There are over 5,000 meal sites in Texas serving snacks and meals to children age 18 and under. There are no ID, income, or registration requirements in qualifying areas.

Sites include schools, churches, recreation centers, public housing complexes, community organizations, and Indian reservations.
